PatchProof is built to use as little tracking as possible. In the current build, the app stores your records and preferences in your browser's local storage on your own device — this is essential to the product working and is not used to track you across other sites.
What we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Essential? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local app data (your tests, clients, settings) | Browser local storage | Stores your records on your device so the app works | Yes |
| Theme / preferences | Browser local storage | Remembers light/dark mode and small UI choices | Yes |
| Service worker cache | Cache storage | Lets the app shell load when offline | Yes |
| Session / login | Cookie | Keeps you signed in (once accounts are enabled) | Yes |
| Analytics | — | Not currently used. If added, it will be privacy-friendly and listed here. | No |
Managing cookies
You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings at any time. Note that clearing them in the current build will remove the records stored on this device — export your data first from within the app.
Changes
If we introduce non-essential cookies (for example analytics), we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
